Thanksgiving Shootout Tournament Comes to Phoenix November 27-29
Jump Athletic and Just4Hoopin host exciting tournament
To showcase top youth basketball talent in Arizona, surrounding states
Phoenix, Ariz. (Nov. 9, 2009) – Leading youth basketball training facility and tournament producers Jump Athletic and Just4Hoopin will host the inaugural Thanksgiving Shootout, a USSSA Basketball-sanctioned grade-based tournament for boys and girls. The tournament is open to 3rd to 8th graders and will be held November 27-29 at the Salvation Army Youth Center in Phoenix, Ariz.
Featuring top club basketball teams from Arizona and surrounding states, the three-day tournament will include Division I “Elite” teams and Division II “Competitive” teams with six boys grade divisions, 3rd-8th, and two girls grade divisions, 7th-8th.
Tournament play will consist of at least three games for each participating team, including two pool-play games followed by a single-elimination championship bracket.
“With league play coming to a close and the Thanksgiving holiday, this is a great chance for families and friends of players to watch their kids play some exciting and competitive basketball,” said Brian Sacks, Jump Athletic founder.
“Turkey and hoops, what can be better?!”, added Justin Peterson, long-time tournament producer and founder of Just4Hoopin.
Cost to register is $295 per team. Teams must register by 10:00pm Friday, November 20.
Tournament daily admission is $5 and tickets will be sold at the door. Tournament passes for the three days are $12. Attendees can receive a dollar off admission by bringing a can of food to support St. Mary’s Food Bank.
