Today was the final day of our 1st annual Thanksgiving Shootout and wow was it a great tourney! Featuring some of the top youth basketball teams in Arizona, from 11U to 14UÂ teams, everyone came out for this one. There were a number of exciting games with the best game of the tournament taking place in the 11 U finals as the Magic Black beat the Runners on a buzzer beater! This game was back and forth all game and ended in dramatic fashion. The Arizona All Stars closed out a dominant tournament in the finals as they took home first in the 7th/8th grade boys division beating Arizona Gold. Team Bibby took home first place in the 12U 6th-grade bracket beating Arizona Future. In the 7th/8th grade girls bracket AA Dynasty beat Arizona Premier in the finals taking 1st place.
This year’s tournament took place at The Salvation Army Youth Center and family and friends of the players were treated to a great holiday weekend of hoops and turkey! We’re looking forward to the 2010 Jump Athletic tournament series which we’ll kick off with the annual MLK youth basketball tournament on Jan 16-18.
